Since opening its doors in 1985, Rimon has stood as a beacon of global musical innovation and Israeli culture. Its founders—who all studied in the United States—were deeply influenced by the rich American musical heritage, as well as music from North Africa, Europe, and across the Middle East. Fusing the American and Israeli sound (and the shared oral traditions from both) formed the foundation of Rimon’s distinctive approach to music education. This blend mirrors the diversity of Israeli society. Rimon adopts a global musical identity that draws from many wells. Rimon is a vibrant cultural melting pot, where music from every corner of the world is explored, celebrated, and transformed. Each year, Rimon hosts 600 students from Israel and around the world, and remains an incubator for creativity, collaboration, and new paradigms.
